Money rules the media

I have lost trust in almost all the established corporate media in India .The bigger they are , the bigger the vested interest are. Most of them ceased to be the fourth estate , or pillar of democracy long ago . Media is today a pure business promoted by corporate families and in a nexus with the ruling political elites . Money rules the media .Most of the journalists are simply professional workers who can be hired for money and fired at ease. And the species of journalist activists or change makers are a vanishing breed.
We are watching a subversion of democracy, almost everywhere , where matches get fixed . So stopped watching TV channels . Yesterday exist polls too were predictable . So watched a movie instead of TV online .
Whatever the outcome of the election on 23 May, India has to go a long way to democratize its politics and institutions at every level . Damage is already done . Hope Indian democracy survives and eventually will prevail.
