He made a difference with his life and work. He was the Chairman and Managing Director of Mathrubhumi, one of the largest media groups in Malayalam.

He lived a multifaceted life of paradoxes. He was the rich landowning socialist in Kerala. He tried power politics in all sides of the political spectrum and alliances. His Media business facilitated his power politics.

An entrepreneur, a media baron, writer, activist and a successful politician. A minister at the Union and state government. MLA, MP. He was indeed a successful man in whatever field he worked. A bit of a maverick leader. It is not easy to dabble.in many things and succeed.

He did lead a remarkable life combining knowledge and action, combining poetry and politics, and bringing together media and politics. He seamlessly managed multiple contradictions and roles, rather effortlessly.

One constant factor was the use of multiple sources of power to be closer to corridors of power, till the end. He was a Rajya Sabha member till his last breath.

He was one of those remarkable human being who could only retire in their grave. He remained active in public sphere till the end.

A remarkably educated and enlightened entrepreneur politician who survived rather well in the rough water of electoral power politics.

Death is the only certainty of every life, despite your power or achievements.. Even the most powerful people too will depart.

Every death is a reminder of Life. Life is often defined by dreams and death.

Veerandra Kumar is now a glimpse of memory. His books will remain for a while.

Salutes to a man who sought to make a difference with his life and work.
