Cry my beloved country ..

Despite the continuous erosion of democratic governance in the country , we hoped the judiciary would remain independent . Now that too seems to be comprmised .Hand in glove with the executive . Use of law and justice seems to be selective in favor of those in power . Judges seem to be playing the tune of the government more rather than delivering justice without fear and favour .
Judges are human beings too. Many of them look for post retirement rehabilitation package of power and perks .
Where is judicial accountability ? On sexual harassment charges too , there is one set of laws for those in power and another for the powerless . The accusations against the Chief Justice was brusshed off. A high profile ruling politician swamy , accused of sexual harassment , is taking rest in an air conditioned hospita room l and the victim is in jail on false charges .

Rights to freedom of expression , movement and communication are curtailed in a state and the minister commissar says everything is ' normal '
Economy is going down day by day . And ministers say everything is 'normal '
A new normal of authoritarian power is being established .A new normal of lies are being established . Right to information is being curtailed .
A 'new normal ' of bills getting passed without parliamentary scrutiny or adequate discussions. There is a new ' normal ' of rule by law, instead of Rule of Law. There is a new ' normal ' of unleashing government agencies on opposition . There is a new ' normal ' of one country , one party , one leader , one language and one religion .
Where is justice ? Where is rule of Law ? Where democratic governance ?
