Desentis- Siwss heritage

Evening walk through the streets of history in Desentis, a very old Romanish settlement in Switzerland. The best thing is that they preserve most of their heritage houses constructed in 17 and 18 centuries and live there. In side those houses looks modern, though they renovated without changing the core design. The language spoken is Romanish.
One of the major leaders of the community is a Malayali and my next-door neighbor in Adoor.
He the chief priest of catholic church here in charge of 14 churches in these area.
Born and bought up in my village, I was amazed to see his excellent proficiency in almost all major European languages. He can speak in Romanish like a native.. He could give sermons or conduct masses in German, Italian, and Spanish. He can speak French too.. Walking with him I realized how much respect he commanded in the region.
