Leadership is about clarity of purpose.
The one thing that shows the quality of leadership is a deeper sense about the clarity of purpose of the organisation and a sense of mission to achieve that purpose.
Those with such a clear sense of larger purpose of themselves are mission driven. Despite all distractions, and despite all adversity, they never lose focus of the purpose.
There is a difference between vision and purpose. Visions are much broader. Vision is like dream based on certain ideals and ideas for change. Visions may continue beyond your life span. Visions are like guiding stars for a mariner or for a caravan.
Purpose are derived from larger goals but more than the immediate objective. Purpose are something that can be achieved over a period of time and indeed possible.
The clarity of purpose in turmoil or strom help the captain to steer the ship and gind the route map to reach the next destination.
Merely thinking about a vision can make you a perpetual dreamer . Those with leadership qualities are doers who can also dream and dreamers who can deliver and move together towards a purpose that make change happen.
