കേരളത്തിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറെ വര്ഷങ്ങളായി പരിസ്ഥിതി , ഭൂമി , സാമൂഹിക രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രതിഷേധ സമരങ്ങളെ വളരെ വിദഗ്‌ധമായി സങ്ക പരിവാർ ഹൈജാക് ചെയ്തു രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രതി പക്ഷമായി പൊതു സമൂഹത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ സ്വീകാര്യകത പിടിച്ചു എടുക്കുവാൻ പതിനെട്ടു അടവും പയറ്റുന്നുണ്ട്. കോൺഗ്രെസ്സുകാർ പരസ്പരം പാര വച്ചു അവനവനിസം എന്ന പ്രത്യയശാത്രത്തിലുറച്ചു ഉന്തീം തള്ളിയും വല്ലപ്പോഴും പ്രതിപക്ഷ ഒച്ചയൊക്ക ഉണ്ടാക്കി അടുത്ത ഇലക്ഷനിൽ കണ്ണും നട്ട് അടുത്ത സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സ്വപ്നങ്ങളില്‍ പ്രത്യാശിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു കൂടുന്നു . ഭരണഭക്ഷ പാർട്ടികൾ ഭരിക്കണോ സമരം ചെയ്യണോ കാര്യങ്ങൾ കാണണോ എന്നൊക്കെയുള്ള സന്ദേഹ തൃശങ്കുവിൽ ആണ് കുറെകാലമായി ; മധുരിച്ചിട്ട് തുപ്പാനും വയ്യ, കയ്ച്ചിട്ട് ഇറക്കാനും മേലാത്ത അവസ്ഥ . ബിജെപി ക്കു ഇപ്പോൾ ആളും അർദ്ധവും പിന്നെ സ്വന്തം ചാനലും , കൂടാതെ നിരാഹാരം കിടക്കാൻ നേതാക്കളും , കൊന്നും കൊടുത്തും കളം നിറഞ്ഞു കളിക്കാനുള്ള വാശിയുമായി രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രതിപക്ഷമായി കളിക്കുന്നു . കൊണ്ഗ്രെസ്സ് സൂക്ഷിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ പണി പാളും . സി പി എം സൂക്ഷിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉത്തരത്തില്‍ ഉള്ളത് കിട്ടുകയും ഇല്ല, കക്ഷത്തിൽ ഉള്ളത് പോകേം ചെയ്യും . സാമ്പിൾ വെടിക്കെട്ട് ആറന്മുള കണ്ടതാണ് . ലോ കോളജിലെ കളിയും അതു തന്നെ. ബിജെപി ക്കു നഷ്ടപ്പെടാനൊന്നും ഇല്ല . അതു കൊണ്ട് അവർ സമരങ്ങളുടെ അജണ്ട നിർണ്ണയിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളിലേക്കാണ് പോക്ക് .
ഇന്ന് കേരളത്തിലെ രണ്ടു മുന്നണികളും അവരുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ നിലപാടുകളും പുതിയ ബാഹ്യ , ആന്തരിക പ്രതിസന്ധികളെ നേരിടുകയാണ്. ഇന്ന് ഇടതു പക്ഷം എന്നോ വലതു പക്ഷം എന്നോ ഉള്ള സാമ്പ്രതായിക പ്രയോഗങ്ങൾക്കു പോലും കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രധാന മുന്നണികളിൽ അർത്ഥം നഷ്ട്ടപെട്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. പൂച്ച കണ്ണടച്ചു പാല്കുടിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥിതിയിൽ ആണ് രണ്ടു കൂട്ടരും . കലക്ക വെള്ളത്തിൽ എങ്ങനെയൊക്കെ മീൻ പിടിക്കാമെന്ന ചിന്തയിൽ ഉഴറി നടക്കുകയാണ് സംഖികളും സുടാപ്പികളും. കേരളം ഒരു പുതിയ രാഷ്ട്രീയ വഴിത്തിരിവിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങി കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്
In fact, the government of Kerala should appoint a commission to do a detailed investigation on the Self Financed educational institutions. Such a commission should consists of eminent educationists, former VCs and independent experts( including Prof. Geeta Gopina and it should not be merely a team of bureaucrats or simply loyalists of political party in power. The allegations of mismanagement and malpractices in the internal assessments need to be investigated. The commission can come out specific recommendations to reform the present system. It is a sheer excuse not to act when people say media diverted the issues form the Self Finance Educational institutions, to focus on the strike in Kerala Law Academy. The strike against Kerala Law Academy gets the media attention as it is easy to cover it in Trivandrum without much of cost and also because of the potential for the Masala dinner discussions on the TV as the proponent is a 'show' celebrity who uses a lots of masala to cook things on TV. But the priorities of the government should not be get distracted due to a week of media coverage on Kerala Law Academy.
The question is what stops government from addressing the issue of all the Self Management colleges in Kerala? The question is what stops the government to enact a law to ensure that all the land given by lease by the government is strictly used for a given purpose and also government take back the land that is beyond the use of a particular institutions? What stops government to Act? What stops the government to go beyond the rhetoric to concrete policy action?
